As a step towards the uplift of society and engendering a sense of social obligation, the school involves children in a number of outreach programmes that address the needs of the Community around the school environs.

  • 'PANKH' Our Siksha Kendra is run from the school precincts for children from the slums aroud the school. The children are instructed in 3R's, basic health and hygiene and social skills. The Kendra has a strength of about 200 students and two slots ie. 12.30 - 1.30p.m and 2 - 4p.m. For the latter slot the school has appointed separate teachers.
  • In addition, the school holds tailoring classes for women and computer classes for boys and girls who have passed their 10th or 12th class.
  • Alive to the need of promoting value education in schools, we are enrolled as members of 'Dharam Bharati' (National Institute of Peace and Value Education) which also has a special unit for students called 'Dharma Jyothi'.
  • On a regular basis teachers accompanied by students go to 'Nari Niketan' and 'Balika Grih' (Tihar Jail) to conduct remedial classes, counseling, meditation, yoga and teaching of various crafts.
  • With the aim of developing an attitude of caring and sharing as a part of our 'Mutual help' programme, we have adopted 20 distressed and helpless old people of the society.
